Thanks Jim, for this temporary forum.
I'm hearing a squeaking noise from my front brakes when I apply pressure. It is not the kind of squeaking that comes from the pads and could be fixed by the no squeak shims, but rather it's more of a mechanical squeak as the brake pedal is pressed. The sound is coming from outside the car, down by the wheels so it isn't the pedal. Any thoughts? Otherwise, and I hesitate saying this, the brakes are operating well. Firm pedal, responsive, no pull or wobble. Thanks.

Had this happen on my SV with a set of semi metalic pads, I just swapped them around side to side and it shut up.
