Line was about an hour long. Not sure why I bothered here in SC being it is a red state, but I still feel it is my duty to vote.
There were more folks in line at my polling place than I have ever seen before and a lot more black folk than I have seen voting.

Major reason I do it by mail is I take my time reading the Propositions. I think people gat paid to make them more complicated than necessary. "A Yes vote means you don't want this" "A No vote says you want this" then the next series says just the opposite.....
Then there are the 3 unopposed commissioners "Vote for three only" and then the unopposed Judges for confirmation.

Yeah the ammendments were something else even had to read the explinations more than once to know what I was voting on.
No matter who wins I am very happy to see so many folks voting! My girlfriends sons who are both under 25 say they will not vote because to them it does not make a difference how they vote.... I try and tell them if they vote it does make a difference the more folks in their demographic who vote the more the people running will pay attention to thier wants and needs. But I am not sure they see it

I suppose I waited about 30 minutes. The poll workers said they had not been real busy, but had kept the machines going continuously.
Patrick (the youngest) did not vote. Said he could see no difference in them. I point out differences, he gets pissed. He went so far as to say that McCains age did not mean he was more likely to die in office than Obama, saying "It's a 50-50 proposition, either he lives or dies." I told Barb I had good news on her Lottery ticket, it was a 50-50 chance. Either she would win or loose. Then she got pissed at me, saying I was twisting his words. Then last week I got a notice from the insurance company, the life insurance Barb carries on me at work will be canceled when I each 70. I was smart enough not to point this out to her.

Voted today after taking the afternoon off from bus driving. Still sore after operation. It looks like Obama might take it.
My cousin is a McCain supporter for religious reasons and I respect her for that but still try to point out that McCain's involvement in the savings and loan crisis makes him a really bad choice. Now that said we better hold on for some changes with the Dem's having ultimate power. Tom Delay said Nancy will double the minimum wage. That's good and bad, it will give me a raise driving school buses. I have always wondered why garbage, cement, lumber, car parts, produce, furniture, beer, wine, milk eggs etc.. is worth more than children?

There is nothing more valuable and precious than our children. My three are all old enough to vote but if the minimum wage is doubled no one will be able to afford milk for their children. It would also mean I would have to fire at least one of my lower paid employees in order to pay the higher wages of the others. Firing one employee would cause me to eliminate at least five of my contract workers all of whom have children of their own. Of course that would be O.K. because our new President has promised to send them a check. I don't like his politics but I am proud that a person of color can be elected so soon after I watched the national guard protect James Meridith and so soon after forced busing and forced integration. When I was 5 years old a nurse invited my Mother to come with her to see what a black baby looked like. I got to go for that ride in 1950 and I am proud that this kind of thinking does not commonly exist.

I am a believer in bottom up economics. I think things will improve dramatically for everyone now because Obama is a man with a heart as well as a sharp mind. I can see the grab all you can get and screw everyone train of thought but it sure has put a hurting on the most of the nation.
Hate to put it this way but.... the right did it the whole finacal mess that is, add in the medical cluster f**k and the war thing. Well at least that is how it adds up if you figure the left is a bunch of spread the wealth around communists, cause folks who think that way would not do it that way...
Really I do not believe the above figure there is plenty of left and right who drove us where we are I just wanted to say it as a mean oposition to the right that calls anyone left a fool and is exstrem in thier views of the left.
