Hello Jim This touches on my arena as I specialize in the worlds first certificated all carbon fiber aircraft the Starship. Carbon fiber fabric when married with epoxy resins were supposed to revolutionize aircraft manufacturing but so far have been limited to military and localized structural uses because it costs like a bad habit. Maybe this stuff we can hope will be affordable.

I really do not have any sort of back ground to speak about this stuff other than reading scifi my whole life. What I am getting at is this seems like fiction or magic outer space material. It just seems to me this has posiblities that we cannot even imagine just for day to day use, provided someone can figure out how to make it on a mass scale. Once that happens I am sure we will figure out how to maniplate it.

Could this be the material that will lead to a skyhook?
