d**n, did not know the Alpine pistons have the size stamped on them. The ones I've been messing with (Pinto) do not.

Typically they have STD or nothing to note they are standard bore size and the over bores have 20 or 30 or what ever they are on them

Hey guys,
Is anyone still active on "The Jims Forum"? I have stated to break down the SIII and would like to keep communicating, as I am a little worried about the work that I have started on the car. Eveyone was a great deal of help during this thread and I need as much as I can get.
I removed the oil, rad fluids, valve cover, upper assembly (rockers etc.) and almost ready to pull the head.
Is it best to remove the carbs/inlet off the head before I remove the head off the block?
I will provide pictures at the end of the week.
